The children will experience a wide range of instructional activities in listening, reading, writing, discussing and/or speaking through the literary elements of fiction, traditional literature, poetry, biography and non-fiction.

Reading - Scott Foresman

Scott Foresman Reading is a research-based approach that ensures reading success.  This program supports the five critical areas of reading instruction as identified by the National Reading Panel Report:  Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Text Comprehension. 
  • Student Book – student anthology organized around themes that provoke student’s curiosity and interest.
  • Leveled Resources:  Helps every child master grade-level reading skills.
  • Supplementary grade level books and chapter books,
  • Practice book supports and practices skills related to reading comprehension, writing, grammar, mechanics, spelling, and phonics.
